Join us for our inaugural Chess Tournament, where brains clash to crown the UiPath Community Chess Champion!

In this virtual event hosted on the platform www.chess.com, participants will engage in 5-minutes Blitz Matches, with no increments. (Meaning: each player has 5 minutes on the clock to make moves, and no time is added after each move)

We want to make sure the participants have fun, and get to play multiple games. The "Swiss Format Bracket" provides multiple opportunities to play and compete against equally skilled Community Members. After at least four rounds of play, the top eight players will advance to the Finals, which take place on Friday, May 17, (13:00 - 14:00 UTC+1 - the same time as this qualifiers event).

Whether you're a seasoned grandmaster, a novice, or simply a spectator watching other community members battle it out, this tournament promises excitement and the chance to etch your name in the annals of the UiPath Community. Register now to secure your place among the contenders and spectators!

How can you prepare for the tournament? (If you want)

• The tournament will be played on the platform www.chess.com - make sure to register an account.
• If you are new to Chess: we are hosting a separate "Preparation" Event the week before this event on Friday, 10 May (13:00 - 14:00 UTC+1 - the same time as this qualifiers event). This is the link to the optional instructions and preparation event: community.uipath.com/j/5dmq3zaumermy/
• The chess.com platform has a lot of Learning Modules and Tutorials. If you are fairly new, we strongly recommend the general lessons (Basics / Fundamentals: www.chess.com/lessons and "Openings" (www.chess.com/openings).
  
• The game modes are classic chess and "Blitz" (5 minutes, no increments). You can practice the mode and get a good feeling for the timing—either versus other players but also versus bots (Computer).
