This optional event helps you learn the basics and fundamentals of Chess—and prepares you for the UiPath Community Chess Championship. In this virtual event, you'll learn the basics and get familiar with the platform www.chess.com. We will present some key learning resources.
How can you prepare for this preparation event — or the tournament in general? (If you want)
- The tournament will be played on the platform www.chess.com - make sure to register an account.
- The chess.com platform has a lot of Learning Modules and Tutorials. If you are fairly new, we strongly recommend the general lessons (Basics / Fundamentals: www.chess.com/lessons) and "Openings" (www.chess.com/openings).
- The game modes are classic chess and "Blitz" (5 minutes, no increments). You can practice the mode and get a good feeling for the timing—either versus other players but also versus bots (Computer).
- We have set up a "UiPath Community" Chess Club on chess.com, the tournament will be hosted there. You can join beforehand and practice/challenge other Community Members beforehand, if you'd like. This is the link to our Chess Club: www.chess.com/club/uipath-community/join/1364f6
